Techshot Lighting Production Director Todd Fricke is an honors graduate of Purdue University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. His diverse set of skills is focused on product development, design for manufacturability, testing and verification, and high volume manufacturing. Todd has developed a unique skill set of being able to qualify complex hardware to military standards for very unique government applications.
Responsibilities included transitioning customer designs to producible parts, collaborate with tool design team, assist sample team in establishing process parameters for long term production, implement work instructions and manage any change orders or ongoing updates. He has developed Process Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (PFMEA) and quality control plans as part of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). Several corrective actions initiated and spearheaded by Todd resulted in a drastic reduction in the scrap rate and defects received at the customer. While these process improvements resulted in increased profits, they often required little to no capital expenditure.
Previously, Todd managed several large commercial accounts, some valued at more than $5 million in annual sales, at a fast paced, high volume contract manufacturer.
